Ten Elementary Operations

CANONICS is an elementary Organon composed not of definitions but of first motions. Through ten elementary operations—placing, considering, bearing, dedicating, turning, cycling, intermingling, inclining, sectioning, and sustaining—it develops a practical grammar of orientation before thought hardens into concepts or disciplines. Each motion is enacted by a cast of objective figures—the Child, the Amphora, the Fulcrum, Scale, Aurora, Parerga, Category, and Abstraction—whose conversations transform philosophy into an instrument of practice rather than a system of doctrines. At the centre stands the Portico, an architectonic threshold where relations are learned without requiring a common ground. CANONICS is neither a primer nor a treatise on architecture. It is a small cosmology of elementary gestures, proposing that thought begins not with identity or representation, but with embodied operations through which heterogeneous worlds gradually become capable of orientation, coexistence, and continuation.
